About the Author

AuthorAbout The Cray Crays: The Cray Crays are animated crayons illustrated by Adrian Cabezas, from one of the first children’s story series The Crayon That Cried. Each character has their name, and own personality. They were created in 2008, but weren’t published until 2011 by author and self- publisher Adama Wiggan. With a mission to be nationally and internationally known, and gracing the fingers of children, they will promote literacy and tickle the imaginations of children. The Cray Crays are not just a story, but an experience every child should be a part of.

About the Author: Adama Wiggan is a former Miami resident, currently residing in Brooklyn, N.Y; with a Jamaican back ground. This writer, poet, and nanny came up with the concept for The Cray Crays after browsing a book store and noticed most books that taught colors could use more of an imagination. With her love of children and words, she wanted to create a story where kids could identify with the characters and enjoy the rhythmic flow. “I grew up reading Dr. Seuss, now I want children to grow up reading Aunty Dama books.” Adama has embraced her gift and will continue to spark the interest of children while making reading fun.
